Head HOME to solve a murder

Following its hit run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last year, Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder! has been updated and expanded for a mini UK tour. It returned to Edinburgh Fringe last month and is currently wrapping up its Bristol run, ahead of a Manchester run next month.

BFFs Kathy and Stella host Hull’s least successful true crime podcast. When their favourite author is killed, they are thrust into a thrilling whodunnit of their own! Can they crack the case (and become global podcast superstars) before the killer strikes again…?

The eponymous characters are played by Bronté Barbé and Olivier nominee Rebekah Hinds, who starred alongside each other in the original cast of What’s New Pussycat?

Barbé also starred in the first UK tour of Beautiful and the international premiere of Newsies in London.

Hinds was nominated for an Olivier Award for a revival of The Government Inspector, and she recently starred in the reimagining of Oklahoma! Onscreen, she is known for The Syndicate and Scarborough.

The cast also includes Jodie Jacobs, who starred in the first UK tour of The Wedding Singer, the original UK cast of Rock of Ages in the West End (for which she won a BroadwayWorld Award), the international premiere of Carrie in London, the international premiere of Disaster! (West End concerts), and the international premiere of Lizzie in Denmark and London (for which she was nominated for an Off West End Award and a West End Wilma Award).

Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder! runs at Bristol Old Vic until September 30 and at HOME, Manchester from October 5 to 21 – the final stop of its UK tour.
